Montoya wins Daytona 24 |

Juan Pablo Montoya has won the Daytona 24 Hours as a one off for his new employer Ganassi. The former McLaren F1 driver shared his Chip Ganassi Riley-Lexus with Scott Pruett and Salvador Duran. The result means that he is only the second driver ever to win the Daytona 24, the Indianapolis 500, and a Formula One Grand Prix. The NASCAR Nextel Cup season, which will be Montoya's first, kicks off at Daytona on 10 February 10. |

Frank Williams has vehemently opposed the potential use of customer cars for the upcoming season. Speculation persists that Super Aguri and Toro Rosso will field unoriginal chassis when the season kicks off on 18 March and Williams insists he will seek arbitration if this is the case as he feels it is a breach of the Concorde agreement, which runs till the end of 2007. |

Heikki Kovalainen is looking forward to the start of his Formula 1 career as a race driver, when the 2007 season kicks off on 18 March at the Australian Grand Prix. However, Kovalainen has decided to not set himself any targets for his first year. His priority is to get things started and finish the race in Melbourne. |
